Mountain bikes
Mountain biking is one of the most widespread sports in Bohinj. Reasons for this are countless. Not to be neglected is the fact that traffic and parking can be stressful all while you could be enjoying nature and have access to routes and sights that you wouldn't be able to reach otherwise. Visit one of our rental shops and discover hidden corners of Bohinj.

Good to know
Mountain bikes are available in several different sizes (XS, S, M, L and XL). A child seat can also be attached to larger bicycles. We also have a children's trailer for a little older children that are not yet ready to cycle on their own. Since the number of trailers and seats is limited, you can inform us before arrival if you need additional equipment. We don't do reservations of bicycles in the main season.
canoe
Are you looking to calmly cross the lake, have small children or pets? Then the canoe is the right choice for you. A stable boat will deliver you safely to your preffered spot on the shore of our lake.

Good to know
The use of a life jacket is mandatory. The canoe is suitable for 1 to 3 adults or two adults with two children. The canoe is generally stable, but if you lean too much, it can tip over. The canoe does not float when it overturns, so rescuing it is very difficult.
GIANT MTB E-BIKES
Bohinj may yet best be explored on e-bikes. With the size of the valley and inevitable climbing roads these bicycles allow us to get further and higher compared to ordinary mountain bikes. E-bikes can be rented at our sports agency to explore the secret corners of Bohinj valleys, or undertake ascents to the Pokljuka and Jelovica plateaus to reach most scenic outlooks.

Good to know
Riding an e-bikes still requires a certain amount of fitness. The electric motor will help you up the hill, but only in addition to your peddaling. Depending on the setting for motor assistance the battery is consumed at a certain rate. Choose a route that is not too long for you, as when the battery runs out, due to the weight of the bike it becomes extremely difficult to ride.
kayak
If you do not mind getting slightly wet, then kayaking is a great choice for your exploration of Lake Bohinj. We only rent kayaks for paddling on the lake. Entering the river is only permitted with a licenced guide. We have several types of kayaks: "sit on top" single, "sit on top" double, and "sit in" kayak.

Good to know
The use of a life jacket is mandatory. A “sit in” kayak requires prior knowledge of kayak handling. We do not rent spray decks for safety reasons.
paddle boards
Stand-up-paddling is a popular activity that is suitable for almost everyone. Our rental shops are located right on the lake. On a SUP board you get the chance to experience the lake from a new perspective and access your favorite corner of the shore.

Good to know
The use of life jackets is recommended and is mandatory for children. There are several different types of SUP boards, from beginners to those for more demanding users. Choose a SUP according to your knowledge. Ask our staff for help with selecting the best equipment for you.
Wooden Boat
Maybe you're a fisherman who would like to fish in the middle of the lake or in hidden corners along the shore, or maybe you're just looking for a safe ride on the lake in an old traditional Bohinj wooden boat.

Good to know
The use of a lifejacket is compulsory. There are not many wooden boats, so be as early as possible to rent one. We do not take advance bookings.

Snowshoeing above Bohinj
Snowshoeing is becoming more and more popular in our mountains. The plateaus above Bohinj are perfect to explore nature with the help of snowshoes. When snow reaches the valley it can be great fun to wander through both Bohinj valleys. When renting, ask our staff for a suggested route to make best use of your day.

Good to know
Snowshoeing in the mountains can be particulary dangerous. It is only reccomended for people with ample experience. Make sure to check current conditions and warnings. Choose a route that you can safely complete, both the ascent and descent. In the mountains you must carry and be trained to use avalnche equipment.
sledding
There are quite a few natural sledding courses in Bohinj that you can use for free. There are also some as parts of ski resorts, access to which may be subject to a surcharge. In any case, our staff will be happy to inform you of best current conditions. We rent sledges for one and two persons.

Sitting monoski "pležuh"
The monoski or "Pležuh" is an old tool that served farmers to quickly descend from higher areas to the valley. Now, however, this winter sport is becoming an increasingly popular activity. You don't need any prior knowledge, as you will learn it very quickly. Our staff will give you some simple tricks to conquer the "pležuh" quickly.

Children up to 14 years old must wear a helmet during sledding. This can be rented from us for 5.00 €. Some ski slopes do not allow the use of monoskis on skiing slopes so please check with the ski area operator before heading out.
