WHY SNOWSHOEING?
Snowshoeing is a wonderful way to experience winter nature in a peaceful and relaxing way. It allows you to walk on snow without slipping, explore remote trails and get views you wouldn't otherwise get in winter. It's simple, healthy and suitable for anyone who likes to move in the fresh air - without the need for special skills or equipment.
WHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME?
Of course, this is winter time. For those who prefer colder conditions, December and January are the months to go. For those who want to walk in the warm sunshine, February, March and, at higher altitudes, April.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Wear warm clothing, even if the weather is forecast to be fine, as conditions change quickly in the mountains.
Water, tea and a snack should also be in your rucksack.
Shoes should be high hiking shoes.
